Wilma J. (Crooks) Wilson

January 12, 1937 — January 1, 2020

Wilma J. Wilson, 82 of Crooksville died at 10:50 AM, Wednesday, January 1, 2020, at the SKLD New Lexington Care & Rehab.

She was born on January 12, 1937, a daughter to the late Clarence and Adrienne (née: Bobb) Crooks.

Wilma spent many of her working years, employed by the Essex Wire in Zanesville. She was a member of the auxiliaries for both the VFW Post 9090 Crooksville-Roseville and the American Legion Post 222 in Crooksville. She loved to play cards, go to antique auctions and, in her younger days, was an avid bowler on a league at Maysville Lanes.  Wilma made her home in Christ at the Ebenezer United Methodist Church in Roseville. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed fixing delicious meals for her family.

Surviving Wilma are her children, Jo Ann Fleming (Matt Wheeler), Kim (Brian) Spring and Ronald Wilson all of Crooksville; her brother, Clarence Crooks; her two grandchildren, Kyle David (Kathleen) Fleming and Leigh Taylor Spring and her great-grandchildren, Eleanor Fleming and James Fleming.

In addition to her parents, preceding Wilma in death are her sisters, Georgianna McNeal, Mabel Grant and Mildred Sheets and her son-in-law, Jim Fleming.

A private cremation will occur, and she will be buried in the cemetery grounds of Ebenezer United Methodist Cemetery in Roseville at 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 11, 2020 with Pastor John Alice officiating.  All are welcome to join Wilma's family for this service to help celebrate her life and legacy.
