Maxie Emeline (Mullins) Knox

Crooksville

Maxie Emeline Knox, 82, of Crooksville, surrounded by her loving family, peacefully went to be with her Lord after a battle with Alzheimer’s disease on Wednesday, November 30, 2022.

She was born, one of fourteen children on March 2, 1940, a daughter to the late, Milton and Lessie (Perdue) Mullins.

Maxie was a workaholic, she spent decades of her life creating works of pottery at the Nelson-McCoy Pottery. She went on to work for Essex Wire where she retired as a machine operator. A dedicated Christian, Maxie traveled around singing her favorite gospel songs to folks in hospitals, nursing homes and churches. She and her husband, Albert were very outdoorsy, always in the yard working, camping, and riding their Harley Davidson motorcycle. Above all, Maxie was a dedicated Mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, her family always came first and her love for them will be felt on forever.

Surviving Maxie in life is her husband of 64 years, Albert Knox; her children, Sandra Savage, Randy (Tammy) Knox, Teresa Moyer, and Karla (Steve) Taylor; her grandkids, Brandy Dingus, Wendy Roush, Mandy Savage, Amanda Knox, Maxie Leiby, Shayla Cannon, Justin Moyer, Sandtrea Ewing, Casey Ewing; several, great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson as well as, her siblings, Dollie Ellis, Glennie Hatfield, Margaret Christian, David Mullins, and Joe Mullins.

In addition to her parents, Maxie is welcomed into eternal life by her siblings, Katheryn Quesinberry, Nellie Coleman, Madgie Mullins, Lillie Ellis, Madeline Houdasheldt, Odell Mullins, Paul Mullins,  and Silas Mullins.

Friends will be received by the Knox family from 4-8:00 PM, Friday, December 2, 2022, at the Goebel Funeral Home, 36 N. Buckeye St., Crooksville. Funeral services will be 12:00 PM, Saturday, December 3 at the funeral home with Pastor Donnie Quesinberry officiating. Following funeral services, Maxie will be laid to rest in Iliff Cemetery.
